We didn’t do much in the way of social media or posting in general the first two days due to multiple difficulties we had with our booth placement, and the fact that not one, not two, but THREE air vents were blasting air directly into the booth driving temps down and customers away. We eventually moved the demos to the main gaming area (pictured above). We also had lighting issues due to the lack of overhead lights leaving a gap of darkness directly in our booth AND a large support column right in the middle of our walkway reducing foot traffic… AND did I mention we were positioned along with eight other booths in a cul de sac?  Needless to say, we were not very happy with our location. However, we decided early on to stay positive and turn lemons into lemonade.  Emergency meeting convened, we put our heads together and made some drastic changes to the booth and the marketing in general. We pulled down the original banner and replaced it with a screen. Our new marketing guy busted out an awesome PowerPoint (posted after this.) and together with our VP’s projector (that he keeps along with every other gadget in his bag of holding) made it look like we had embedded a TV directly into the booth. The lack of lighting actually worked to make the presentation really awesome. We also adjusted price signs to point out the our game is LESS EXPENSIVE that any other game at the con! We also found that the prize support that we got from BCW worked better at drawing folks into the booth and moved it to the end cap where it’s bright colors could catch passing eyes. Day 3 we saw a complete turn a round in both sales and interest (so much so that we didn’t have any time for videos or pictures) and we are looking forward to a VERY successful Saturday (Day 4) !
